In this blog, I have gathered a few photographs from my last year’s trip to Paris. Paris has innumerable photography sites. In this post, Parisian art and monuments are presented from a different perspective. It is a collection of Paris photographs containing curve or curved structures. Even simple day to day photography can be converted into art photography by simply changing the framing, perspective, and slight post processing to highlight specific features.

So, let’s explore !

Collection

These adorable lovelocks (i.e. padlocks) couples lock to a fixed public object such as fencing, bridge railings, or gates, to symbolize their love for each other. There many such bridges in Paris which are adorned with these lovelocks, most famous being Pont des Arts.
This is wider shot of yet another bridge adorned with lovelocks.

Now, let us see few photographs from Palace of Versailles. Taking the RER C metro line is the fastest way to reach Versailles from the Paris city center. In my opinion, Versailles is one of the best photography sites in Paris.

Following art object is known as ‘Dirty Corner‘. This famous and controversial sculpture, placed in the Garden of Palace of Versailles, is created by a British-Indian sculptor Sir Anish Kapoor.

This is another curvy object. It is a sculpture, by the same artist, called as ‘Sky Mirror’ kept in the Garden of Palace of Versailles. Reflections of surroundings and sky casted in this mirror look really beautiful.

This beautiful object is a huge curved mirror placed right infront of the Palace of Versailles. As soon as you look into it, you get mesmerized. It is created by the same artist, Anish Kapoor.

This weirdly looking dark vortex is known as ‘Descension‘. It creates a loud ghostly murmur and give a gloomy feelings to the viewers standing besides it.

I love outdoor fountains! It is a visual treat to watch fountains in the Gardens of Palace of Versailles. This is the Bassin de Latone, or Latona Fountain, in the Garden of Palace of Versailles. Those curves look beautiful with the sparkling water.
